Fundraising Strategist

What you should know about me
I fell in love with fundraising in high school when I joined Future Community Leaders of America and worked with other volunteers to come up with innovative ways to raise money for the March of Dimes. I have remained an active part of the nonprofit sector ever since. I spent many years working with nonprofits as an event specialist, development director and marketing director and many years volunteering as a board member, event chair, grant writer, and more. In all these organizations I found one thing consistently: the need for greater knowledge of what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to fundraising.

So in 2012, I launched In the Know, LLC with a desire to help organizations by sharing my 25 years of fundraising knowledge and experience. I welcome the opportunity to help your organization and make a lasting impact on your fundraising efforts.

In 2020, I was proud to be recognized as one of the Honorees for National Philanthropy Day in Colorado. I was nominated by one of my clients, Diana Goldberg at SungateKids.

“We contracted with Cindy to work with the board and staff to create a three-year strategic plan. Cindy was highly organized, professional and strategic throughout the whole process. She guided us through the meetings and discussions keeping us on track and on-time! I have no hesitation in recommending Cindy and In the Know to other organizations needing help with strategic planning.”
